S_Ruiz
Dr. Sandra Ruiz is an educator and scholar of Spanish language, Spanish heritage language as well as Mexican and Chicanx/Latinx Studies. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, is a UCLA alumna (’03, ’07, ’12, ’14) and resides in South East L.A. She is an Associate Professor of Spanish & Chicana/o/x Studies as well as Vice Chair of Modern Languages & Cultures at West Los Angeles College. She is currently working on her book manuscript focused on Chicana and Mexicana feminist crime narratives and the social-cultural responses spurred by these experiences.
